Childcare Success
Long Day Care for Families in Success
Tribe Early Learning Success is located on Beeliar Drive, in the heart of Perth’s south. We’re a few minutes from Gateway Shopping Centre, Cockburn Central station, and the Beeliar Regional Park, close to where local families already spend their time. Our centre has seven bright, open rooms and two outdoor play areas, which means children have genuine space to move, explore and settle into their own rhythm.
We care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years, with separate cot rooms for our youngest learners and an inquiry-based approach across our baby, toddler and kindergarten programs.
Early Learning Programs at Tribe Success
With seven rooms organised by age and stage, each space at Tribe Success is set up for what that group actually needs: quiet corners and cot rooms for our babies, room to move and climb for our toddlers, and space to work on bigger projects for our kindy kids. Educators meet children where they are, and the day unfolds from there.

Ready Steps - Our School Readiness Program for 3-5 Year Olds
Through play-based sessions, children build:
Early literacy and numeracy skills
Communication and listening
Social and emotional confidence - sharing, turn-taking, resilience
Physical coordination and fine motor strength
Self-help and independence skills, like following routines and managing their own belongings
Our experienced Early Childhood Teachers guide each child at their own pace, with individual learning plans tailored to each child’s strengths and interests. By the time they step into Kindy, children are confident, connected and ready for their next big adventure.
Inquiry-Based Learning at Tribe Success
Inquiry-based learning at Tribe Success means the children lead. Educators pay close attention to what each child is drawn to; a question, an observation, something they’ve brought from home, and build the week’s learning around it. There’s no fixed script, no strict curriculum to push through.
In practice: a group of toddlers fascinated by shells turns into a week of comparing sounds, shapes and textures. A kindy child’s question about where the lake water comes from becomes a research project with maps and photos. Educators guide and extend the learning, but the curiosity leads the way.
Our Team at Tribe Success
Our educators at Tribe Success come from a range of cultural backgrounds, reflecting the diverse community we’re part of. You can meet the Success team here.
Meet Our Centre Manager, Kristy
Hi, my name is Kristy, and I’m excited to introduce myself as the Centre Manager for Tribe Early Learning Success.
I was born and raised in Perth and grew up around the Cockburn area, which gives me a unique insight into the area and how I can best foster family and community connections.
In my downtime, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, seeking out boutique little cafes and restaurants and exploring the unique parts of Perth I am yet to see.
I really enjoy literature and love a good read, you will often find me with a book and a good cup of coffee when I’m not out exploring or connecting with friends.
I started my education profession as a relief educator when I was only 16 years old, helping my step-sister at the service she was managing at that time. Once I finished Year 12, I realised that I had a growing love and passion for the profession and a drive to educate and support the children in my care through the early years of their lives. With this realisation, I went on to do a traineeship in Early Childhood Education and Care and have now been working in ECEC services for about 16 years, managing for about 3 years. In this time, I have gained a wide range of skills and values, and I am so excited to bring this knowledge and experience with me to Tribe Early Learning to inspire the team and your little ones to lead lifelong learning.

January 19, 2023Great daycare. Easy to access, though sometimes late drop off required hunting for a park (once the DOT opened). The class rooms all open onto an outdoor area divided between infants and toddlers/preschoolers. With lots of area to run around, ride bikes, dig in sandpits, explore and play. Drop off in the warmer... read more months was usually to have breakfast in the playground area, before running around for the day. Depending on the class, children usually went on a nature walk every other week- walking as a group into the playground of the adjacent school to climb trees, have a picnic, or just collect sticks and leaves. There was also a focus on learning the Noonga names for the seasons, and collating children's art works over the year in a folder with printed stories about focus weeks and other achievements (like changing classes).

Its an excellent center with personal attention to every kid, lots of nature play and both my kids love going here. The staff here are great and are happy to take any suggestions. They were very patient enough to let my infant settle in and made her feel secured.

Questions Families Ask About Childcare in Success
How do you support children (and parents) experiencing separation anxiety during the first week?
We view the first week as a partnership. Beyond our ‘no cry-it-out’ policy, we encourage ‘Stay and Play’ sessions where parents can bond with educators before the official start date. We also send extra ‘check-in’ photos via Storypark during those first few drop-offs so you can see your child settling into a rhythm in real-time.
How does your centre foster connections with local communities for families new to the Success/Beeliar area?
We foster a sense of belonging through regular excursions to local Beeliar businesses and nature walks in Beeliar Regional Park. Our community program also includes intergenerational visits to local nursing homes, where children share stories and activities with elderly residents to build empathy and social confidence.
Is your curriculum play-based or academic?
It is inquiry-based, which combines both. While we cover literacy and numeracy, we do it through child-led projects, like using maps to research where lake water comes from. This ensures children aren’t just memorising facts, but are building the curiosity needed for school.
Can you accommodate my baby's specific home sleep and feed schedule?
Yes. Our baby room is an unhurried space where infants follow their own natural routines. With separate, quiet cot rooms, your child can nap according to their specific home schedule without being disturbed by the main play area.
What makes your Ready Steps program different from standard Kindy?
Unlike larger Kindy rooms, Ready Steps at Tribe Success is limited to small groups of 8. This allows our Early Childhood Teachers to provide individual learning plans that target specific school-readiness skills, from fine motor strength to social-emotional resilience.
