Childcare Canning Vale
Long Day Care for Canning Vale Families
Tribe Early Learning Canning Vale is part of the Ranford commercial precinct on Campbell Road, right in the heart of one of Perth’s most established family suburbs. Our purpose-built centre has been designed from the ground up for early learning, with light-filled rooms, spacious outdoor areas and nature-inspired play zones that give children real space to explore. Parking is easy, drop-off is quick, and we’re just a few minutes from Livingston Marketplace and the new Ranford Road train station, handy for parents on the commute into the city.
We care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years, guided by our inquiry-based approach across our baby, toddler, and kindergarten rooms.
Early Learning Programs at Tribe Canning Vale
Every child’s day at Tribe Canning Vale looks a little different, because no two children arrive with the same ideas, energy or pace. Our rooms are set up to give children the time and space to settle in, follow what interests them, and build real confidence as the day unfolds.

Inquiry-Based Learning at Tribe Canning Vale
At Tribe Canning Vale, learning starts with the children themselves; the questions they ask, the things that catch their attention, the ideas they want to explore. Our inquiry-based learning approach means educators don’t follow a fixed script. They watch, listen, and build each day around what children are genuinely curious about.
This might look like a small group working out how water moves through sand, or a child sharing something from home that sparks a week of conversation. Educators extend these moments with thoughtful questions and materials that help children go deeper, think harder and make sense of their world.
Our Team at Tribe Canning Vale
At Tribe Canning Vale, the educators your child sees each morning are the same educators they’ll see at pick-up, and the ones they’ll build real relationships with over their time here. You can meet the Canning Vale team here.
Meet Our Centre Manager, Donna
Hello, my name is Donna, and I’m the Centre Manager at Tribe Early Learning Canning Vale and I have over 18 years of experience in early childhood education. Throughout my career, I’ve worked across a range of roles in the Education and Care sector, which has deepened my understanding of child development and the importance of a supportive, inclusive atmosphere.
I’m passionate about creating a safe, stimulating environment where creativity, curiosity and learning flourish. I love fostering inquiry-based learning and believe open communication with families is key to every child’s success.
Outside of work, I’m married with four children and am a proud Ya-Ya (Grandma) to my beautiful granddaughter. In my free time, I enjoy camping, the beach, reading, fitness classes, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
I look forward to welcoming you to our Canning Vale centre.

September 19, 2024We have been to other daycares with our first child however chose to go with Tribe for our second. The staff really helped her settle in over her adjustment period. They were so lovely and communicated with us so much in regard to her progress, with the manager, Visha texting us... read more off her personal phone to keep us at ease! She now smiles and waves goodbye to us and doesn't want to leave when we come to pick her up. Communication and personal care were most important to us for a daycare and Tribe hits those 100%.

Childcare in Canning Vale and the Surrounding Southern Suburbs
Today, around 35,000 people call Canning Vale home, and more than half are couples with children. It’s a busy, culturally rich community where working parents, school drop-offs and weekend park trips are part of daily life.
Tribe Canning Vale sits on Campbell Road in the Ranford commercial precinct, a short drive from Livingston Marketplace and the new Ranford Road train station. We welcome families from Canning Vale, Harrisdale, Southern River, Piara Waters, Huntingdale, Thornlie and Willetton. We’re open 6:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Questions Families Ask About Childcare in Canning Vale
At what age can my child start at Tribe Canning Vale?
Children can start with us from 6 weeks old, and stay right through to their transition to school at age 5. Our rooms are organised by age and stage, so your child is always with others at a similar point in their development.
How early should we put our name down for a place?
Honestly, sooner is better. Our baby and Tiny Tots rooms are the first to fill, and in a family suburb like Canning Vale, places move quickly. Many parents register with us while they’re still expecting, which gives them peace of mind and flexibility around their return-to-work date.
How much will it cost?
That depends on your child’s age and how many days they come in each week. The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) applies to most families and can significantly reduce your actual out-of-pocket cost. We can’t give you a one-size-fits-all figure, but we can provide a clear estimate for your family. Just ask.
Will my child be looked after by the same educators each week?
Yes. The educators who greet you at drop-off are the same ones who’ll be there at pick-up and the same ones your child will come to know really well over the months and years ahead. We don’t bring in casual or agency staff to fill gaps, which makes a real difference to how settled children feel.
We live nearby but not in Canning Vale. Is the centre easy to get to?
Yes, especially from Harrisdale, Southern River, Piara Waters, Huntingdale and Thornlie; all within about a 10-minute drive. Campbell Road connects easily to Ranford Road, Roe Highway and the Kwinana Freeway, so the commute works in most directions.
What does inquiry-based learning actually look like day to day?
It means the learning starts with the children, not a lesson plan. If a child is fascinated by bugs in the garden, that becomes the week’s exploration: researching, drawing, building homes for them, asking the why and how questions. Our educators guide, extend and document the learning, but the curiosity leads the way.
